Luke Buser
Luke Buser is an artist based in Portland, OR. These prints are from his recent show: Typewriter Art which can be found at Gallery Go Go and were printed at Gango Custom Printing. The frames are made with Ranger 85% dark chocolate and Single Origin Guatemalan Cardamom, Maldon Sea Salt. While the dark chocolate appears flat as typewritten page, it is layered with an intentional build up of flavors that come together to allow you to see/taste something completely out of the ordinary like Luke’s layering of letters and ink.
Tell us about your collection of typewriter prints and how you came to choose the particular prints for our Show and Tell chocolate?
I have probably made well over a hundred typewriter pieces. Very inspired by typewriter and concrete poetry artists of the past. I chose these pieces because I thought they would look great in a small size frame :)
As a child what was your favorite sweet? What role do sweets play in your life?
When I was a child I would eat spoonfulls of hot chocolate powder. I also enjoyed those little bone shaped candies that came in a coffin :)
